Welcome Back!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Welcome back!

First Job: Please complete this survey. It's for the Book Trust. If you've already done this, just skip this step. Also, take a second to view this video: Our School, Our Community.

Then, please make a choice from the following games. I'm working hard to figure out why some of the games are blocked at times. If you find that a game or tool is blocked, please fill out the form below. There is a scroll bar.

*YouiDraw: This is a new drawing tool. You might really love it. You'll find that you can even sign in with Google! I can't wait to see how this one goes for you! If you try it out, lemme know what you think. Here are some helpful YouiDraw Youtube videos.

*Gamestar Mechanic: Brand new to us. There is a chart on the wall in the lab to help with sign-up, and you definitely should watch this video. Your sign up experience will look different, because now we have a special link for just our school, so the website looks just a bit different. The username is: firstnamelastinitialmcglone so mine is: chrismmcglone. The password you should use is on the chart in the lab.

*iCivics: Social studies games with legal court battles, running for elections, etc. Some of you have played these games on BrainPop. Our class code is on a chart in the lab. There are rewards, badges, and leaderboards so you can compete with friends in class, or students from around the world.

*New Digital Breakout Games: Also available on our Breakout Page.

*CodeCombat: Can you defeat the Kithgard Dungeon? Also - just found out how you might be able to join our class!

*Stop Disasters: Science simulation games where you try and stop natural disasters like tsunamis, earthquakes, fires, and floods.

*Orange Revolution: Simulate the 2004 election in Ukraine. Will you lead the election to a peaceful end, or let the people turn to violence and destruction?

*Peace Corps: Save the village from a mysterious water sickness.

*Garbage Dream: Build your own recycling empire!

*Code.org: I'm still waiting for a student to finish Course 2... Make sure you sign in!

*Typing.com: Only perfect practice makes perfect. Please don't practice typing incorrectly. If you're doing this job, take the time to really focus and practice correctly.

*NoRedInk: Improve your writing/grammar skills. Our class code is on a chart in the lab.

I'm considering trying out a new math games tool. Let's test it together. It's called mathgames.com, and I've added your account using Google Classroom. Let me know how it goes!

~Mr. Moore
