Catch Up!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We have students in a few different places right now. Use this list to help figure out what you should be working on. Jobs must be completed in this order. Read the entire post, then get to work. :)

1. Digital Passport must get finished.

2. Create your Digital Passport Badge. (Video Help - this video shows how to create and Post your badge!)

3. Post your badge to your portfolio.

4. Show Mr. Moore. Make any changes necessary. Show Mr. Moore again.

5. Repeat step four until Mr. Moore asks you to watch this video. It will show you some very important PowToon basics. Your job is to create a PowToon (better than mine) that introduces your portfolio!

6. Watch every single PowToon tutorial. Consider watching them twice. You'll learn bunches. If you really need some PowToon inspiration, they have a whole YouTube Channel. Watch it at home or in your classroom if you have free time - not in the Lobos Lab. You've got too much work to do. :)

Here's my not-so-great example. I can't wait to see how awesome yours is!

7. Have a go at creating your own PowToon. It should be an introduction to your Portfolio Website. Here's a video  (I'd skip to 2:42 to get right to the best part) with the secret formula for getting your audience to do something... Like maybe comment in your Guest Book!

8. Add your voice and animations to your PowToon. Do not add any video or images of your face. Check out this tutorial I created for using TwistedWave! It does the job perfectly!

9. Show Mr. Moore. Make any changes necessary. Show Mr. Moore again.

10. Repeat step nine until Mr. Moore asks you to post/embed your PowToon to your Portfolio.

11. Make sure you have a Guest Book on your portfolio. If you need an example, here's the one we use on this Blog. It's one of the main pages listed at the top of the Blog. You can also see the example I have on my Portfolio. Here's a video to help you make a Guest Book and get it inserted onto your Portfolio.

11. Once your PowToon and Guest Book are on the front page of your Portfolio, show Mr. Moore. If you're one of the first ten 3rd-5th grade students to finish, we will tweet about your portfolio, and add the link to your work right here...
